Illuminated surfaces play an important role in modern operating and information interfaces, such as in vehicle interiors. Developers are always faced with challenges when realising design requirements due to complex geometries and limited space.

Light is becoming increasingly important for design and function. Customised requirements for lighting units: the requirement is for a flexible, flat fibre-optics with homogeneous illumination and minimal installation depth. The unit should also be break-proof, easy to clean and less susceptible to dirt and dust. It goes without saying that the design should be customised and variable.

An innovation called siloptics^® Flexilight has raised technical feasibility to a new level. By developing a technology carrier for illustrative purposes and inspiration, the almost limitless application possibilities of this technology truly come into reach. The demonstrator consists of two fibre-optic systems including décor in a day/night design.
